New Busy at Maths 2 – Home/School Links Book

New Busy at Maths is an exciting and engaging new maths programme aimed at encouraging children to explore maths in a hands-on and stimulating way. It has been designed to align with and successfully deliver the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum (2023). All tasks and activities are linked to the strands, learning outcomes, mathematical concepts and elements of the new Mathematics Curriculum.

Inquiring Minds is an exciting textbook written for Transition Year Science. Featuring chapters on Biology, Chemistryand Physics, with a final chapter on Forensics involving all three areas, this textbook will introduce students to fascinating areas in Science and broaden their interest in these subjects for the Senior Cycle.

About the Authors
Conor Eivers has a BSc in Science, Mathematics and Education and an MSc in Education from University College Dublin. At present he teaches Science, Chemistry and Mathematics at Temple Carrig School, Greystones. Conor also works as an Examiner for the State Examinations Commission (SEC). He has corrected Junior Cycle Science for the last number of years.
Barbara Kelly has a BSc in Science from University College Dublin, a PhD from Oxford Brookes University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Wollongong. She spent 13 years as a research scientist, with a focus on molecular biology and virology, before retraining as a teacher. For the first five years of her teaching career she taught in New South Wales, Australia. At present she teaches Science, Biology and Mathematics at Temple Carrig School, Greystones.

Master Your English 4

Master your English is a new and innovative English programme for primary schools. Its unique approach focuses on building comprehension and vocabulary skills. Each Master your English book contains 30 units. Each unit has daily work broken down in the following way. 

  • Monday – pupils will work on their visual skills (visual memory, discrimination, comprehension, recall, sequencing, and association). Pupils will watch an online video or look at a digital poster and answer comprehension questions: a mix of think fast (multiple choice) and deeper thinking questions.
  • Tuesday – pupils will work on their auditory skills (memory, discrimination, comprehension, recall, sequencing, and association). Pupils will listen to an online audio recording and answer comprehension questions: a mix of think fast (multiple choice) and deeper thinking questions.
  • Wednesday – pupils will read a comprehension passage and answer a mix of comprehension questions. These include literal, inferential, and evaluative questions.
  • Thursday – pupils will focus on working with words, vocabulary development, spelling, phonics and vocabulary usage.
  • Friday – pupils will focus on grammar, phonics, dictionary skills and spelling.

Genres

¡Te escucho! is a new aural book designed to significantly improve students’ listening skills for the Junior Cycle common level Spanish exam.

¡Te escucho! is a fantastic resource for the aural element of Junior Cycle Spanish.
